
Orange, leading mobile operator has joined this renewable energy company in order to promote their new mobile phone charger prototype named as Orange Power Pump at the largest open air music bash. This compact Power Pump works with the kinetic energy that creates small wind turbine that converts it into electric current for recharging mobile phones outside. This music bash was undoubtedly the best place to exhibit this Power Pump that enables spectators charging their mobile phones to record music, record video footage from their mobile while they are enjoying the music bash.
This portable renewable energy charger from Orange joins the renewable energy provider, Gotwind to get wind for recharging mobiles. This is tent mounted wind charger became popular in this four day spanned music festival. Previously, Orange came up with this renewable energy enabled mobile phone charger prototype which gets its energy when its users dance.
This 180g prototype charger powered by dance energy and took shape of pack of playing cards. This charger could be strapped to upper part of arms so that as the arms would start moving, the charger would produce electrical current that would be sufficient for charging battery. Tests conducted on this renewable energy based have proven that the charger could generate enough energy to charge Nokia N95 from one hour of dancing.
